  1. BYE  -  leave MM; kill the process
  2.  
  3. Usage:  BYE
  4.  
  5. The BYE command rewrites the current mail file if it was modified, kills 
  6.   the MM process, and returns you to the shell.  It may ask whether to expunge 
  7.   deleted messages; reply yes or no. The variable EXPUNGE-ON-BYE controls 
  8.   whether it asks or expunges automatically.
  9.  
  10. Using EXIT or QUIT is preferable if you plan to return to MM during the same
  11.   session, since they suspend MM and you can re-enter MM faster.  Using BYE
  12.   is preferable if you are done with MM.
  13.  
  14. There are three ways to leave MM.  The defaults are:
  15.   EXIT    suspends MM    expunges deleted messages 
  16.   QUIT    suspends MM    does not expunge           
  17.   BYE    kills MM    asks whether to expunge    
  18.
